Ffynnon Las/Pant Glas Community Association look to bring residents from the estate together to improve the area economically, environmentally and socially. The group has been busy over the past couple of months. Here's a list of all that's been achieved:
• The group helped plant daffodils on the estate as part of the ‘Make a Difference' day. It was great to see all ages from the estate joining in.
• The group have been able to purchase black bins for all those on the estate who said they wanted them. This should really help cut down on the rat problem.
• Ffynnon Las are hosting a Christmas party for everyone on the estate on the 16th December at ABC, on Wind Street, between 2pm-6pm. The party was a real success last year and this year looks to be as great!
• Ffynnon Las/Pant Glas Community Association are holding a mince pie and mulled wine evening in Ffynnon Las to celebrate Christmas (date to be announced). There will also be a competition for best outdoor Christmas lights with a prize for the winner!
• The committee are organising trips for the new year. Suggestions are Heron Brook, Heatherton, Manor Park (house) and a trip to Ikea. Watch out for more information.
• With the success of the last fun-day over the summer the association is planning to hold a repeat next summer and advertise it more widely.
• Hanging baskets are also planned to be up on the estate next year thanks to help from BTCV.
