Interior Design For Your Living Room – From Bari Furniture
Your living room is one space that almost every guest to your home will not only see but will probably spend quite a bit of time in, in fact other than the kitchen it is probably the most important entertaining room in your home. To make the most out of your living room, follow the interior design guidelines that make your living room more comfortable and functional.
Proportion and Scale
The proportion of your room is the size of individual pieces in relation to each other. Scale refers to the relationship between the items in your room and the size of the room itself. When selecting furniture and other pieces for your living room keep the proportion of the other pieces and the scale of the room in mind. You don’t want to dwarf other furniture with an oversized piece and you don’t want to lose smaller furniture in a too large room. Not everyone can creatively combine different elements to get a somewhat harmonious appearance and feeling of unity yet enough contrast in the room to keep it fresh and interesting. Hone your creative flair by studying interior decorating magazines and looking for their contrasting elements and then look for the connection between the contrasting elements and the rest of the d
